Current Loving: Chambray Shirt

I'm in love with my Chambray shirt that I got while I was abroad!
It was about $20, and came in the perfect size for me.

Excuse my face, I am quite tired after being sick for five days, haha.

It's a tad big but I love how roomie it is.
The length of the sleeves are perfect as well- 3/4. I probably won't be able to wear this shirt earlier than most "summer-y, spring-y" shirts that I own, but so worth it.
It's a great shirt for when I want to be casual and comfortable, but without looking too cozy :)

And although you can't see it, the back is longer than the front! How awesome is that?!
It's just so cool haha. I know that it's a silly thing to be excited about, but isn't that cool? I don't think I've had any other casual shirts with a longer back than a front.

I can pair this shirt with a skirt, a pair of shorts, leggings, dark-washed jeans, and more. I love it!

Do any of y'all have a favourite shirt?

Winter Travels

It's almost the end of summer, and I'm starting to (already) dream about winter break. Last winter break, I went to Spain with my boyfriend for 10 days.  The trip was absolutely amazing, even though we basically went broke. It was honestly such an amazing trip. I think that it was the fact that we explored the country with just the two of us. We're usually both bogged down by work and such but it was so nice to not think about our blackberrys (or droid in his case, ha) beeping and saying that I had another problem that I needed to work out last minute, or that I was running late to a meeting.

Which is why, now that it's almost August, I have started to think about places where I'd like to go over my month long break. I don't think I will be going with my boyfriend this year if I do end up actually taking a trip, but we shall see!

I'm thinking of somewhere in Europe, like Austria or even Croatia. I've always wanted to go to Greece but since there are so many sites that I want to see, I think it would be better if I went with my family since they are much more organized than I am, and I also do not really want to make a lone trip across Greece by myself...

I've wanted to go to London for a while, but I think that I'm going with my family after I graduate. Hmm where to go, where to go!!

Austria, Croatia, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Switzerland, TURKEY!! Aaahh!!

Kate Spade Lovin'

I went to the Manchester Designer Outlets in Vermont today.
On my opinion, the three hour car ride was definitely not worth it- but I think I went right after sales so that's probably why. Oh well, another time! Got myself an awesome navy skirt from J.Crew though ;)

Anyways, I have a couple of lovelies from Kate Spade to show y'all today :)
They're my current wants and needs from Kate Spade, and I've been spending quite sometime coming up with ideas on why I should buy them/need them. Haha.

Tropical Orchid Elliana Dress
Love, love, love the bright bursts of colour against the ivory-white!
I also like that there's a little ribbon in the front that you can tie.

Karolina
How fun are these heels?! The polka dots! The polka dots! The polka dots!! Ahh!
It's just so chic and fun and just... perfection :)
3-inch heels are such a great height as well.

Skinny Mini Bow Studs
Well, hello there precious!!
Although I grew out of hair bows by senior year of high school... *sigh*, I've always LOVED bows.
They're just such a cute, girly, and feminine touch to anything and everything!
These are so delicate and adorable, it'll look great with a dress or with a shirt and pants.

Love Notes Bow Ring
While we are talking about bows, may I introduce this lovely ring?
BAH! I wish I wasn't the type to lose rings so fast so that I could buy this beauty.
(I spend less than $15 on rings because I lose them so often... ha)
The thing band and the thin bow would make a perfect addition to anyone's finger.

I could probably write a whole another post on the bags and wallets that I am lusting over, but that'll be for another time :)

Anyone else as obsessed with Kate Spade as I am? ;) Which are your favourites?

Ellys Studio Decals

Okay guys, I have a confession to make.
I used to scoff at Macs and people who had them. I didn't mind the iPhones, but I felt too much loyalty for my Windows (and in particular, my Sony VAIO) to accept Macs.
But I've been having such bad luck with my Windows and when I sent it out for repair, I got a $430.00 credit for exchange from Best Buy, since my laptop was unfixable.
Then, I met this sales guy who somehow, and I'm still not quite sure, but somehow, convinced me to buy a MacBook Pro. So now here I am, writing this post with my new MacBook Pro. Crazy, right?

ANYWAYS, I was looking around on Etsy (since it's one of my favourite past times... ha), and found adorable decals by Ellys Studio!

It's so perfect and girly! Ahh! They have it in various colours but I like the black because it's so simple, but it would look good as a Pop of Colour as well :)

Flowers Bloom Vinyl Macbook Stickers
This one is another flower. I guess I'm interested in flowers for my MacBook Pro haha.
This one is a bit more simpler though! I really like the shapes of the petals. A bit edgy but still girly.

Love Apples Vinyl
If I weren't so OCD about things, I would definitely get this. It's such a cute concept.
The thing is, since the apple is at the centre, the LOVE won't be, and this would be SUCH a problem for me.
I already have enough problems accepting the fact that when I place my MacBook Pro in front of me, the apple logo is upside down until I open my laptop. Yes, I'm a bit crazy, haha.

Vintage Bicycle Flower Basket Stickers
This is so simple and classy. This sticker comes in either black or white.
I'd definitely go for the black though, since I think the contrast makes this one so interesting.
Simple, fashionable, and classy. What more could one ask for?

Do you own a MacBook Pro? Do you use decals on them? Let me know :)

Disclaimer: I am receiving no compensation for writing about this. I chose to write about this on my own accord, and my opinion is uninfluenced by anyone else.

Perfect Hair Tie

I get migraines like there is no tomorrow. On top of my hereditary migraines (thanks, Mom), I have had a series of concussions in the past year (four- I am not kidding!), which cause really, really bad headaches.

Naturally, I have wandered away from headbands, which makes me really sad. I can still wear them, but I have to find the perfect ones that fit my head so that they don't give me headaches more than necessary. And I thought that was bad- I know have to carefully choose my hair ties as well!

The thick ones make my head hurt once in a while (it's annoying that it's not all of the time...) and the too thin and small ones either snap or pull at my hair. I've settled with the bigger thin ones from CVS (I forgot the brand, sorry), but lately, I may just have to gravitate toward these:

I've been seeing them around for a while and I tried my friend's this year, and I just might have to pick one of these up... There are wicked expensive brands, but I found a 10 for $10 deal on Etsy, from Summer's Inspirations. They also have a 20 for $19.95, as well.

They would look cute as bracelets as well- nothing like the dull, black, hair ties that I am currently using! :)

Have any of you guys tried these hair ties out? How do they feel?

Lip Butter

I go through lip products like there is no tomorrow. But actually. The thing is, I don't finish them. I lose them. I have only finished like two lip glosses and three lip balms in my life. I get close to finishing them, and then poof! They're gone. Sometimes, they turn up five years later out of some pocket, but even when that happens, it's gotten gross by then. Bah.

It' s a miracle then that Bath and Body Works have extreme sales twice a year- if they didn't have these sales, I'd be either broke or suffering major chapped lips. My lip products are all from Bath and Body Works and usully from C.O. Bigelow. (C.O. Bigelow is its own company but BBW sells them as well).

I have been using the C.O.Bigelow Cocoa Butter Lip Butter since mid-May, and I LOVE it. Its application is smooth and it doesn't have that strong of a scent. It also leaves my lips feeling not-sticky- something that didn't really happen during my lip gloss years. It also moisturizes quite nicely and are sold for $7.50 or in a set of 4 for $20.00.

The lip balm is so....rich. It is also easy to carry around in as well. Definitely worth buying, if you are looking for some quality lip butter.

I found them for half price at Bath and Body Works' semi-annual sale, so if you ever stop by during their sale period, definitely look around for it.

Dreams of Lace

Anthropologie's Vinca Minor Dress

There's something dreamy about lace. I've always been fascinated by them, but I never had quite the guts to wear a lot of lace for some odd reason since I considered them "girly." The only lace I'd had been willing to try were bits of lace on the bank or front of my shirt or tanktop. Lately, I've been lusting over lace dresses though.

I'm not a fan of the little bits at the bottom of the dress, but all in all, this dress is adorable. I love the purple (blue?) underneath the white lace- it's still dreamy, but in a good way! It'll make a nice summer dress and even for September as well.

I would definitely buy it- but I am a little tight on my funds so sadly, I have to forgo it this time. :(

Black Raspberry Vanilla

One of my middle school friends gave me a Black Raspbery Vanilla lotion from Bath and Body Works on my 13th birthday (or maybe it was my 14th). I fell in love with the scent and continued to use it until I was 21. (Yes, I used it for eight years STRAIGHT) I found other scents fun and yummy, but I never strayed and kept on using this one. Now, people might just say that I am afraid of change, but I prefer to think that Black Raspbery Vanilla is just that good.

They're also $10.50 (or perhaps $11.00) for a bottle. Bath and Body Works often have a buy two get one free sale so if you combine it with other products, it would be defnitely worth it, since you can mix and match the scents and products. They also work as a substitute for perfumes - they're lighter and not so in your face but the lotion leaves a slight smell on you. Yaay!!

I've actually ventured out to other scents in the Bath and Body Works body lotion line in the past year, and I'm enjoying them more than I thought. So maybe change is good sometimes!

Splashing Water

I went to the beach last weekend with my friends and got tanner than I have in a long, long time.
The thing is, I've kind of run out of bathing suits so I wore my old one that I got like five years ago. Which got me thinking about a new bathing suit...

I love the pink, navy, and white and also the starfish. It's so summery and very classic and classy.

I like Target because they have such good priced cute options. At the same time though, finding cute bathing suits in-store is a little harder, especially if you wear a common size. But online, they are so adorable!!! Definitely worth checking out :-)

Victoria's Secret Gorgeous Push-up Halter Top
Not going to lie... I'm not a big fan of push-up bras or push-up bathing suits. But the colour and the ribbon is so adorable! I wish they had another style for this bathing suit without the push-up factor in it. Sad times!

J.Crew Polka-Dot Twist-Front Bandeau
I just love the polka-dots, the red, and the twist-front style! As usual, J.Crew does not let you down with their style. It's so... summery.

I guess I'm more into the pink/red theme this summer. Although since it's almost mid-July, it does make me reconsider getting a new bathing suit. Maybe I should wait  until the end of summer sale to get a new bathing suit for next year. Thrifty shopper, no?

Which one is your favourite?

Seafood Miracle

http://weheartit.com/entry/32372563
If someone asked me what my favourite food was, I would probably say makis (most people would know this as the rolled version of sushi). I am not a big fan of fish, but for some odd reason, I love raw fish. Weird, right? Anyways, I don't feel as guilty when I eat it (even though there's plenty of spicy mayo in many types of sushi), unlike other foods I like (such as Tim-Tams and ahem, McDonalds' fries). I also like the combination of rice, fish, and seaweed with sometimes the tempura flake crunchies thrown in the middle. Yum. Also, the presentation of each plate by the chefs is just amazing- they're so stylish with it!

Even though makis are so far from how sushi originally started out in Japan, the combination and perfect balance of different colours and also just the taste makes me a fan for life.

Covert Affairs

Tonight is the third season premiere of the TV series on USA, Covert Affairs! My favourite parts of the show is definitely the clothes and the different locations of each episode.

I'm excited for the third season even though I don't even think the show is that good. It's odd since I don't think it's that good but I'm fascinated by it for some odd reason. The plot tends to bounce a little bit between episodes but each episode works well by itself, so I kind of think of it as a more sporadic Law and Order.

As I said before, the part of the reason why I like this show is because I like Piper Perabo's costumes. It's just always so... classy.

All photos from the Covert Affairs Facebook Page
I'm just a huge fan of all of her dresses that she wears. She wears a lot of shirt dresses as well, and I really love seeing them. I like the second grey dress and the third one.
She also wears smashing evening/cocktail dresses (sadly, I could not find a picture of it on the Facebook Page). She also wears black suits a lot too (but you would think that those are kind of boring, right?) but some of her suits are the perfect styles so it's okay.
She also wears clothes that I would never be able to pull off but she pulls em off damn well.

I also like watching it for business casual attire ideas as well, haha.
Although I can't lie, there are some gooood looking men on this show. Covert Affairs is definitely worth checking out if you haven't already ;-)

Coral Pink Dress

I love this picture. In my attempt to crazily procrastinate my paper, I stumbled upon this lovely little foto. I've always been a fan of coral pink, but the combination of the beach, the head..dress? thing? ring? (haha), the girl, and the beautiful coral pink dress goes oh-so-nicely!

A girl who my sister knew passed away last summer and her favourite colour was coral pink. Although I didn't know her personally, this picture made me think of her.

Anywhoo, I love walking on the beach, but it usually involves me yelping and jumping because I just can't handle walking on the hot sand... I suppose I am just not fit for beaches haha. I'm sure if I walked closer to the water or during the early evening I would be fine though.

The End of the World

I recently saw the movie "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World" with Steve Carell and Keira Knightley. I was interested in seeing the movie because of the odd combo of Steve Carell and Keira Knightley. I mean, Carell is usually "COMEDY!!!" and Keira Knightley has more of a classic air around her. I thought it would be a comedy but towards the end, the movie became more serious. Anywhoo, I enjoyed the movie but not as much as I thought I would. I feel like it had a couple of unanswered questions. But oh well.

ANYWAYS

This movie got me thinking: What would I do for my last three weeks before the world ends?

I would...

1.) Go see my extended family
2.) See all of my friends (even ones from prep school)
3.) Go to Greece
4.) Go to Morocco
5.) Go to Sydney again
6.) And go to everywhere else I'd like to go to :)
7.) Shop my heart out ;-)
8.) Eat all I want (I eat a lot)
9.) Change my nail polish colour every day (hahaha this one is kind of a joke!)

...Oh my. I'm not that ambitious, am I? haha
I like to think that I live every day without regrets- which is why I don't have anything special for when the world ends ;-)

My boyfriend (jokingly) said that he'd steal a plane and travel the world. Though probably impossible, I feel like it'd be so romantic and also fun (as long as you could fly a plane...?)!

Anyways, what would you do if the world ended in three weeks?
